These tools are of note in part because they have no inherent ‘practical’ use outside the hands of a Sound Tester, but many choose to take them up anyway. In the hands of Sound Testers, however, they take a new life, useful as spellcasting foci, each offering unique bonuses to the spells they’re used to cast.
